Navigating Supplements During Cancer: What’s Safe, What’s Not

When facing cancer, it’s natural to look for every possible way to support the body — and for many, that includes considering supplements. From vitamins and herbal remedies to immune boosters, the choices can feel overwhelming. Many have no basis in science and are not proven to actually be effective.

Furthermore, not all supplements are safe or helpful during cancer treatment! Some may interact with medications or even interfere with the effectiveness of chemotherapy or radiation. We’re going to take a closer look at which supplements have been shown to be safe — and which ones to avoid — so that every decision made is grounded in science, not guesswork.
